Brief Introduction

The crankshaft is a key component of a piston engine, and it plays an important role in bearing impact loads and transmitting power in the engines of cars, trucks, motorcycles, ships, model airplanes, and lawnmowers
It converts the force of the lever movement into output through the crankshaft and drives other accessories on the engine to work.
The crankshaft is subjected to the combined action of the centrifugal force of the rotating mass, the periodically changing gas inertial force, and the reciprocating inertial force, and bears the load of bending and torsion, so it must have sufficient strength and rigidity.
The journal surface needs to have good wear resistance, uniformity and balance.

Technical Parameters:
● Requirements for the working conditions of the grinding wheel: the linear speed is 120 m/s, and the five main journals and four connecting rod journals of the crankshaft are ground;
● The material of the workpiece is 42CrMo; the substrate is quenched and tempered: the hardness is HB207-269, the surface of the main journal connecting rod is quenched by intermediate frequency, the hardness is HRC50-60;
● The grinding allowance of the workpiece is 0.5-0.7mm in the diameter direction, and 0.1-0.2mm on the end face. The surface roughness of the workpiece after grinding is: Ra0.2um.
● Other requirements (grain size, hardness, concentration and grinding wheel balance, etc.) shall be implemented according to the manufacturer's standard and related design
